Ann Coulter endorses Hillary

January 31st, 2008 · 7 Comments

Ann Coulter was on Hannity and Colmes tonight…
Sean asked her how she felt about McCain’s stances when it comes to all of his liberal issues. She commented that if you judge based on a candidate’s positions without looking if there is a R or D after their name, Hillary is our candidate and that she […]

So, McCain wins Florida

January 29th, 2008 · 9 Comments

Fox News is reporting that Giuliani will drop out and endorse McCain.
So, next week, I’ll still go vote in a primary for anyone but McCain. I’ll write in a candidate […]

Salt and Light
The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.
(Proverbs 29:25)
Much of the decision making I’ve heard this election season all centers on a fear of Hillary Clinton becoming president. While I do […]

Walking in the Light

Salt and Light
My blog is titled “Salt and Light” and it comes from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount:

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. […]

Economics 101.1, or the difference between natural and artificial monopolies

January 27th, 2008 · No Comments

In my continuing discussion over government mandated socialized health care, I present the difference between a natural and artificial monopoly, how government interference creates inefficiencies in the market and pick up an honorary PhD in economics before I go off to teach my students at Geneseo.

“Taxes are needed for essential services that the government provides.”

Economics 101, or why socialism is bad

January 27th, 2008 · 2 Comments

In response to an article over at the D&C, a discussion followed over the role of government and health care. Someone posted, regarding government funding health care, that “This is NOT socialist economics this is ECONOMICS in the 21st century.”
I gave the following reply:

Frankly, it is socialist economics, though you can try to paper […]

Just a quick observance on Obama’s win in South Carolina

January 27th, 2008 · 5 Comments

Obama trounced Hillary in a landslide last night by roughly double her tally.
What I’ve, personally, found interesting is the number of former Clinton defenders who have suddenly seen the light and realize that the Clintons will say and do anything, about or to anyone, to obtain and maintain power.
To the likes of Maureen Dowd, welcome […]
