and it turns out the uncle is a convicted sex offender, having kidnapped and raped a 18 year old woman. After five and a half years, he was paroled for good behavior. While under the supervision of the state of Vermont during his parole, he began molesting the other minor mentioned before.

The problem is he presents himself as something different... a politician who will change everything and cure all of our ills. The only change he brings is on his positions. He's pandering to everyone, pretending to be everything everyone wants him to be.

Yes, this is a change in the right direction... and I said he would end up taking this position even if he does get elected without having changed it before taking office. But the man cannot be trusted at all. He's just another politician out to say what he thinks will get him elected.

It's ok for a politician to try to gauge the will of the people, but it's good to have a leader with firm positions that shifts us all to him. The Oval Office needs a leader, not a legislator with his finger sensing the political winds of the day. Obama is not a leader and that disqualifies him from the office as far as I'm concerned.

There's question there is plenty of reason to oppose Obama, but at least this particular flip-flop is in the right direction.

PUH-LEASE! says,
"Get your heads out of the sand and realize that alternative fuels/energy ARE the future. Not because “some sissy liberals” care too much, but because OIL ISN’T FOREVER."

Beachcomber says,
Well, these comments are right from the mindless DNC talking points (liberal). I know, next you’ll tell us “we can’t drill our way out of this” (DNC)…Well we can! Because we only drill for 5Bbl/d domestically of the 21 Bbls/d we use. The rest is imported. We currently are drilling back to the same domestic levels of the 1940’s…

You say: “OIL ISN’T FOREVER”…&… “Realize that alternative fuels/energy ARE the future”… Well more mindless DNC talking points.

We have 112 bil barrels (USGS) of domestic oil that is off limits and has been for 30 plus years. Show me anything that’s out there right now or even 10yrs from now that will replace 21 Bbl/d of oil….It doesn’t exist. Oil will be with the world for many decades to come weather you Greenies like it or not! You guys all believe we should ask other countries to drill for something we aren’t willing to do for ourselves. That’s the real embracement for America. We have enough domestic crude to last well over 60years, and that doesn’t even count the billions of barrels of Shale oil we can produce. Oh, did I forget Coal to oil? Get the picture?

“Peak Oil” is a lie put out there by decades of drumming from Green Peace & the Sierra Club K street lobby’s…You bought it though, didn’t you?

Well, I don’t want to waste my facts anymore with someone who is so obviously deceived by the Marxist (big-Gov managed-markets) agenda that the Dem-Congress etc, have gripped this country with today!

Obviously, they're attacking McCain for not having any executive experience... the question is, for what reason? Obama doesn't have any either. Hell, the guy can't even figure out how to vote anything other than present on votes that aren't entirely safe, so he doesn't have any real legislative experience either.

Mike,

I know it's frustrating, but we can't control the actions of others. You did your part and showed your appreciation and they were grateful. That's cool that they were in the same Guard unit that your Dad was in!

Let's spread the word on this.

HELLO TOMMY: 6/27/08

WHEN KING DAVID IN THE BIBLE WAS A YOUNG MAN KEEPING HIS FATHER'S SHEEP IN THE FIELDS, THE TOWNS PEOPLE CONSIDERED HIM TO BE WEAK AND PUNY.

THE TOWNS PEOPLE FAVORED HIS BROTHERS, BECAUSE KING DAVID'S BROTHERS WERE LARGER AND STRONGER.

ONE DAY THE TOWNS PEOPLE WERE FACED WITH A DELIMMA OF BEING TROUBLED BY THE PHILISTINES. THEY WERE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO COULD SUBDUE THE PHILISTINE GIANT GOLIATH. KING DAVID VOLUNTEERED TO GET THE JOB DONE. NOONE HAD ANY FAITH IN KING DAVID BECAUSE THEY DID NOT THINK THAT HE HAD WHAT IT TOOK TO GET THE JOB DONE AND TO GET IT DONE WELL. KING DAVID BOLDLY STEPPED FORWARD AND SHOWED ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHAT HE HAD TO OFFER, AND WITH JUST A SLING-SHOT AND A STONE, DAVID SUBDUED THAT GIANT AND BECAME A HERO.

I'VE SAID ALL OF THAT TO SAY THIS:
IN THIS LIFE WHERE SOMETIMES EXTRA-ORDINARY PEOPLE SUCH AS YOURSELF, WHO CAN DO EXTRA-ORDINARY THINGS, GET SCRUNTINIZED BY PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN NOT GET THE JOB DONE OR THAT YOU CAN NOT DO THE JOB WELL. THAT'S WHEN YOU "SHINE." THAT IS
YOUR MOMENT TO STEP FORWARD AND DO YOUR STUFF, EVEN IN THE WAKE OF ADVERSITY, TO SHOW THE SKEPTICS THAT YOU CAN NOT ONLY DO THE JOB WITH WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY DID NOT KNOW THAT YOU HAD. BUT, THAT YOU CAN ALSO DO THE JOB WELL. JUST LIKE KING DAVID, YOU HAVE PROVED THAT YOU CAN SUBDUE GIANTS!!

CONGRATULATIONS TOMMY AND GOD BLESS YOU.
