A few weeks ago, I featured a Blues all-star band that included Willie Dixon. In this week’s feature of RC Friday Night Blues, Howlin’ Wolf teams up with Willie Dixon on a great rendition of Smokestack Lightning! As you’ll see in the video, Howlin’ Wolf put his heart and soul into his performances! Like Willie Dixon, Howlin’ Wolf was a big man. Musician and critic Cub Koda declared, “no one could match Howlin’ Wolf for the singular ability to rock the house down to the foundation while simultaneously scaring its patrons out of its wits.” I hope you enjoy this video!
